In December of 2018 I had the opportunity to go volunteer with a group from my area at the OCC processing center in Charlotte, NC. This was my second time at an OCC processing center since we went to Boone, NC in 2017. If you haven’t been to one of the processing centers I strongly encourage you to check it out. It is so much fun working long side so many amazing people as we prepare thousands of gospel opportunities each day to be sent out into the world.

Mark 16:15
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

During National Collection week this year I went with our area coordinator and visited each of our area drop off locations. Just about everyone of them asked about the processing center and how the boxes are prepared. We shared all that we know about that process and we thought, If only there was a video we could point them to about the processing center. I contacted Matt our Great Lakes Regional director who gave me permission to video in the processing center. Check out the video today!.

Mariya Snizhko | Full Circle Speaker

Operation Christmas Child distributes millions of gift filled shoeboxes each year in countries that children don’t hear the Gospel = Good News of Jesus. Going Full Circle, Mariya Received a Shoebox in 2002, She Packs boxes every year with her family, In 2018 she had the chance to Distribute boxes.

On August 26th, 2018 we had our first Full Circle Speaker in our Ohio Valley Collection Area which was a huge success. We held 3 events across our area, at each location Mariya Snizhko shared her story and we talked about the mission of Operation Christmas Child and how God uses these simple shoeboxes to impact lives.

If you aren’t familiar with Operation Christmas Child then here is a quick summary.

Operation Christmas Child was started in 1993 by Samaritans Purse, you might be familiar with them through there disaster relief efforts in the US and around the globe. Individuals like you and I pack shoeboxes full of Toys, School Supplies, Personal Hygiene Items and then they are dropped off at more than 4k locations around the country. The boxes are then sent out to countries around the world, Lots of the kids who receive the boxes have never received a gift in there lives. The Gospel = Good News of Jesus is shared and the opportunity is extended to participate in “The Greatest Journey” a multi week Discipleship study.
